Colors that reflect the essence of things

The word Farve is Danish for ‘color’, and Denmark has long been recognized as an important center for design in northern Europe. Perhaps because Denmark is a relatively small country with few natural resources, the people of Denmark have traditionally incorporated good design into everyday things as a means to enrich their lives.
We chose the name Farve out of a desire to create functional designs that follow the same philosophy, and a determination to bring a little more color to the world.

In Denmark, systems are built first and are then refined with successive layers of ingenuity. Using this approach—which was also responsible for creating one of the world’s most advanced social welfare systems—the basic concepts of graphic design were applied to a wide range of media, with designers flexibly adapting techniques to meet the needs of their clients. This is a strategy we share.
At Farve, we bring out the underlying appeal of a product to confer a measure of self-confidence to its owner. We pursue design that is simple, yet which also expresses the product’s inner truth.
